After Ubisoft spoke in play in games in front of his investors and has been researching the concept for some time, it is now so far. NFTs in the first major game are no longer a vision of the future, but from 9.12.2021 reality. In Ghost Recon Breakpoint, a new marketplace will be implemented on which you can buy NFTs for Krypton currency.
Free NFTs in Ghost Recon
It is exclusively about skins, which offer the players no real advantage. This is a logical decision, because you certainly want to gently immerse yourself here. It will be on 9.12., On 12.12. And on 15.12. Free NFTs for the Early Adopters — so NFT skins are given away.
Since NFTs are always present only in a limited number of quantities, Early Adopters here probably means: First Come, First Served. While many skins are the action, Ubisoft does not reveal, but we know that it is a weapon, a helmet and a trouser.
Ubisoft NFT-Marketplace Quartz
Breakpoint is the first game that future-oriented experiments must be prepared for Ubisoft. Source: PC Games Hardware The place where Ubisoft sells its NFTs is the new Marketplace Quartz. The NFTs get the beautiful name Digits and get a serial number that is visible to all. In addition, the NFTs remember their owners for years (according to trailer) and are of course retrievable.
If you want to participate in the Marketplace, you must have the PC version via Ubisoft Connect and have reached at least XP level 5 in the game. It also exists a minimum age of 18 years for the trade, and each player may have a maximum of a digit of the same edition.
If you want to participate, it can be good that you have to create a TESOL Wallet before you can get the free digits.
Ubisoft met averse
The publisher puts a healthy self-confidence on the day and describes this step as the first on the way to the met averse. At the same time they talk about an experiment, because they can not yet assess the reactions of the players.
Since Ubisoft has been researching for years with a start-up program on this technology and wants to integrate it in games, you will certainly follow this way, no matter how the reactions of the players are. Even if the experiment fails from the objective point of view, you have to expect other such implementations.
EA is also imagined entering the market. How far you are there is still under closure. Should you be similar to Ubisoft, but it is not unlikely that the publisher will soon pay back in the race for the big new thing in video games?
Krypton currency Ubisoft
TESOL is significantly more environmentally friendly than bitcoin. Whether this plays a role in the criticism of players, but is not foreseeable. Source: Ubisoft instead of Ethereum (used in gaming by default), Ubisoft relies on the crypto feed TESOL, which is especially popular with large companies. The reason for this is the comparatively fast handling.
Ubisoft will not be tired of mentioning that TESOL also is significantly better for the environment as, for example, Bitcoin, as it would be based on another system.
Proof of Work and Proof of Stake
Bitcoin is based on proof of work. Always when a transaction is made, each computer works with participating in the blockchain system. The first computer that can validate the transaction (i.e. confirms that it is not a double sale of the coin), a certain sum of the currency is granted. That's the so-called mining, which is very computational and not exactly environmentally friendly.
Proof of Stake is also based on a validation process, but a much smaller intersection. This results from the people who already have the most of the currency and so-called Networks, associations from people who own the respective currency.
The potential for mistakes is greater here, but the miners also get some of their currency deducted when they make a mistake. For example, TESOL is based on this principle.
Ubisoft uses TESOL instead of Ethereum
Ethereum was based on Proof of Work at the beginning, but with extensive updates, but largely transferred to Proof of Stake, but only for certain computing services. Thus, Jesuit is still the environmentally friendly currency. Ubisoft committed himself some time to work less environmentally polluting, which has certainly influenced the decision.
